AS HEADS OF AGENCIES SIGN 2025 PERFORMANCE CONTRACT………..TRANSPORT MINISTER URGES THEM TO DO MORE.

The Minister of Transport and Aviation Ambassador Col. Rtd. Alhaji Fanday Turay Esq. has urged Heads of Transport Agencies to do more in embracing innovation, improve coordination and address challenges proactively as the people of Sierra Leone expect and deserve a transport sector that is safe, reliable and efficient.

He made this statement during the inter-agency meeting on the signing of the performance contract for year 2025 at the Ministry’s conference room Youyi building on Thursday 6th February ,2024.

He explained that over the past years they have made significant strides in improving the operations, enhancing public service delivery and strengthen institutional capacity, noting that there is still much work to be done.

Minister Turay emphasized that the transport sector remains a crucial driver of the country’s economic growth and national development, adding that as leaders in the transport sector they must continuously strive for excellent.

He informed the meeting that the signing of the performance contract was to set clear target, define their responsibilities and to hold themselves accountable for results and to the people of Sierra Leone.

He maintained that the occasion is a demonstration of the government commitment under the leadership of His Excellency, President Julius Maada Bio to ensuring that all transport agency operates with efficiency, transparency and result oriented approach.

He called on transport heads of agencies to improve coordination and collaboration, adding that together they can make the vision a reality.
