GoSL SIGNS MoU WITH ACROW CORPORATION FOR LUNGI BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION.

In a major milestone toward national infrastructure development, the Government of Sierra Leone has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ACROW Corporation of America for the design, build, operate, and transfer (DBOT) of the long-anticipated Lungi Bridge project.
ACROW Corporation is an American Company founded in 1951 and headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey, USA, with over 70 years of experience and operations in over 150 countries, including more than 40 across Africa, to deliver modular steel bridge solutions.
The Executive Director of the National Investment Board (NIB), Dr. Edward Hinga Sandy, described the occasion as a culmination of strategic dialogue, technical assessments, and high-level engagements between the Government and ACROW. He emphasized that this MoU solidifies the foundation for the next phase and reflects the government’s commitment to unlocking transformational infrastructure.
Chief Minister, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to implementing projects that have a direct impact on national development and the lives of citizens. He noted that the Lungi Bridge represents not just a physical connection between the airport and the capital, but a symbol of Sierra Leone’s rising infrastructure ambitions.

Ambassador Bryan David Hunt, the United States Ambassador to Sierra Leone, who expressed deep satisfaction at the partnership, describing it as a strong indicator of the growing investment and developmental ties between the United States and Sierra Leone. “We are proud to see a reputable American company like ACROW bring world-class engineering, American technology, and proven project delivery to the Lungi Bridge initiative.
The ACROW team expressed their enthusiasm to collaborate with the Government of Sierra Leone, acknowledging the viability and readiness of the project. The signing of the MoU signals the government’s strong political will and strategic focus on delivering critical infrastructure, with the Lungi Bridge poised to be one of the most transformative projects in Sierra Leone’s recent history.
