In an effort to combat drugs and substance abuse in Sierra Leone particularly the increasing misuse of Kush.

The National Taskforce for Drugs and Substance Abuse (NaTFDSA), through its Community Engagement Pillar, organized a Health Walk on Saturday, 15th November 2025. The event aimed to raise public awareness about the dangers of abusing substances such as Kush, Tramadol, ecstasy, and Molly.

The walk commenced at the Youyi Building and proceeded along major routes, concluding at the Family Kingdom car park in Aberdeen.

The Taskforce collaborated with several key sectors and organizations to strengthen community involvement and extend awareness efforts across the country. Partners included:

- NPHA

- Environment Protection Agency (EPA)

- Ministry of Agriculture

- Ministry of Youth Affairs

- GaDNET

- Health Reporter Network (HRN)

- People Recovered from Kush

- Scout Society of Sierra Leone

At the Family Kingdom car park, statements were delivered by the

- Director of NaTFDSA

- Risk Communication Lead for Mpox

- Deputy Director of the EPA Communication Unit.
