Ministry of Youth Affairs Signs Transformative MOU with IYF to Empower Youth.

Minister of Youth Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Sannoh, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) in South Korea, paving the way for a new era of youth empowerment and character transformation in Sierra Leone.

The partnership brings Sierra Leone into a growing network of over 12 countries benefiting from IYF’s globally acclaimed Mind Education, a program focused on freeing the mind and heart from corruption, while cultivating love, discipline, and equality among young people. IYF’s impact is already visible in countries like Ghana, Kenya, Zambia, and Benin, where the organization has constructed skills development centers and youth-focused hospitals. Through this MOU, Sierra Leone is now poised to benefit from similar life-changing initiatives.

During his mission, Minister Sannoh also visited the Sierra Leone Embassy in Seoul and engaged with Ambassador Paul S. Massaquoi and the diplomatic staff. The Ambassador and Head of Chancery briefed the Minister on other MOUs signed by Sierra Leonean ministries and urged him to build on these partnerships, particularly those with the Global Green Growth Institute, Korea Rice Belt, Yonsei University, and the World Small Medium Enterprises organization.

Minister Sannoh shared updates on the Status of Youth Report and the Ministry’s Strategic Plan, initiatives that were met with strong encouragement from embassy officials.

This mission reflects the Ministry’s deep commitment to meaningful international collaboration and transformative opportunities for Sierra Leonean youth. The seeds of change have been planted, and a new generation of inspired, empowered youth is rising.
