MoPED and UNICEF Conclude 5 days National Validation And Training workshop.

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED) in collaboration with UNICEF, concluded a five (5) days National Validation and Training Workshop on the Management and Utilization of the Sierra Leone National Development Tracking for Dashboard, for the Medium-Term National Development Plan 2024-2030.

The Government of Sierra Leone will launch the Sierra Leone National Development Tracker, on the 1st December 2025.

The National Development Tracker is a cutting-edge digital platform designed to track progress, monitor results, and guide evidence-based policy making in alignment with the Medium-Term National Development Plan (MTNDP) 2024-2030.

The workshop brought together representatives across MDAs, yearning to capacitate MDAs in Digital data reporting.

This integrated system brings together data from across ministries and sectors, transforming information into actionable insights that ensure accountability, transparency, and impact for every citizen. The platform is anchored on the Big Five Game-Changers: Feed Salone, Human Capital Development, Youth Employment Scheme, and Infrastructure Development.

The National Development Tracker is a key tool for empowering Sierra Leone's future, enabling the government to make informed decisions, drive progress, and deliver results that benefit all citizens.

By providing a centralized platform for tracking development progress, the system promotes transparency, accountability, and collaboration across government agencies and sectors.

The tracker is expected to play a critical role in driving Sierra Leone's development agenda, ensuring that policies and programs are informed by evidence and geared towards achieving the country's vision for a prosperous and sustainable future.

The five days workshop featured insightful presentations, Practical work, and interactive Session of Digital data reporting capacity.

Given concluding statement the consultant Dr. Jeeveeta Soobarah thanked all the participants, and encouraged them to utilize what they have learnt in the past five days.

Dr. Robert Ndamobissi thanks MoPED for their effective and leadership strives in actualizing the workshop. He added that the National validation and Trainings on Digital data reporting is a new Model for which other countries could learn.

He reference the Dashboard as an attractive Investment opportunities for Sierra Leone.

Dr. Robert shared UNICEF continueing follow-up and collaboration with MoPED and the Government of Sierra Leone.

Mr. Tommy Korpoi Director Monitoring and Evaluation, MoPED, unvailed that His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio would formerly Lunch the National Development Tracker Dashboard on Monday 1st of December, 2025.

Mr. Korpoi continues that the Dashboard would position Sierra Leone in the global stage for credible, accountable and transparency data.

He acknowledge UNICEF progressive Intervention in realizing the National Development Tracker Dashboard.
