MTHE Conducts Interviews for 2026 Commonwealth Scholarship Applicants Students right at the Brookfields Campus attending the interview session

The Ministry of Technical and Higher Education (MTHE) conducted interviews on October 7, 2025, for Sierra Leonean applicants seeking the postgraduate Commonwealth Scholarship Programme 2026, a demonstration of its steadfast commitment to transparency, merit, and fostering international academic excellence.

The session, held at Milton Margai Technical University, Brook fields campus, featured the Student Secretary, George A. Dambo, who stressed that the scholarship is strictly merit-based and urged candidates to reject any attempt at bribery or influence, reinforcing MTHE’s zero-tolerance stance on corruption.

He urged the prospective scholars to become agents of change, returning home to apply their acquired knowledge to propel Sierra Leone’s development across sectors. The Director of Higher Education, Emmanuel J. Momoh, reminded applicants to stay focused and to maximize the opportunity, vowing that those selected would strive to “change the narrative” about Sierra Leone by demonstrating its intellectual potential and dedication to progress.
