Sierra Leone is taking a major step toward modern, transparent governance.

From 1 January 2026, all Resident and Work Permit applications and renewals will be processed exclusively online through the new Unified Permits Platform. Employers and non-nationals are urged to comply immediately by applying at www.unifiedpermit.gov.sl.
