at MoPED Minister's office. The Minister of Public Administration and Political Affairs (MOPAPA) Amara Kallon, engaged Minister Barlay to supervise the South- South Cooperation Conference which will be hosted in Sierra Leone in April 2025.
According to Minister Kallon, Sierra Leone will host the South- South Cooperation due to the record Performance Action demonstrated by the government of Sierra Leone especially during the COVID - 19 fight ,and other global index achievement
The discussions will aim at development Initiatives and Healthcare Services. "President Bio have also registered his willingness to host the event", said Minister Kallon and further assured the attendance of Kenya, and Tanzania President and other Delegates across Africa and the globe and also outfit Development partners involvement including Africa Peer Review Mechanism ( APRM), UNDP and Saudi Arabia .
Minister Kallon further retreated that the event will give the government of Sierra Leone the standing opportunity to popularize the Medium Term National Development Plan 2024-2030 (MTNDP) feed Salon inline with the Big Five game Changers and give huge benefit to the Development of Sierra Leone.
The event is set to commence from the 24th to 26th April 2025, over one hundred (100) Delegates are expected to attend the event across the globe. Minister Kallon finally emphasized the active and leading involvement of Minister Barlay as planning Minister to officiate the success of the event.
Madam Kenyeh Barlay, Minister of Planning and Economic development appreciated her colleague Minister for such opportunity which will contribute to the development of Sierra Leone and the multilateral cooperation. Minister Barlay and her team involving Peter samKapra, Development Secretary, Sheka Bangura Director Planning Policy and Research (PPR) MoPED, and Abie Elizabeth Kamara Director Development Assistant Coordinating Office ( DACO) Registred their commitments to spearhead both local and international consultation committee by proffering ideas for a wonderful outcome of the event.
