The meeting is the first of three planned meetings meant to activate the District Emergency Operation Centres (DEOC) and ensure all necessary protocols are in place for effective response to emergencies. The next steps will involve training sessions for DEOC staff and conducting drills to test their readiness. The other two districts are Tonkolili and Bombali.
During the meeting, Professor Foday Sahr emphasized the importance of preparedness and coordination among all stakeholders. The goal is to strengthen the DEOCs in these districts to effectively respond to any emergencies that may arise.
