Vice President Juldeh Jalloh Tours New Conference Centre Ahead of ECOWAS Summit

Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, together with senior government officials, on Sunday inspected the newly completed President Julius Maada Bio International Conference Centre Lungi, ahead of the country hosting the ECOWAS Summit Heads State Government 19th July 2026.

Led by the project team, Vice President toured key facility areas including the main plenary hall, media centre, bilateral meeting rooms, VVIP lounges, exhibition spaces, supporting facilities, assessing the Centre's preparedness for a high-level regional gathering.

Speaking after inspection, Vice President Juldeh Jalloh described the Centre as beyond mere building, noting the facility represents Sierra Leone's ambition strengthening regional diplomacy role, hosting major international engagements, creating new tourism, hospitality, and business opportunities.

Vice President commended contractors, consultants, engineers, and workers whose dedication and expertise contributed to successful project completion. He acknowledged efforts transforming vision into a modern facility reflecting Sierra Leone's growing capacity to host major global events.

Official Centre commissioning scheduled for 18th July, one day preceding the ECOWAS Summit. Facility expected serving lasting national asset, supporting regional cooperation, and positioning Sierra Leone as a destination for major conferences and international engagements.
