Gender Minister Champions Digital Health at UNGA – PReSTrack Puts Girls and Mothers on the Map.

American Australian Association, Murdoch Center, New York | 25 September 2025: At a powerful UNGA@80 side event organized by Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Health, leaders, innovators, and advocates gathered to explore “Harnessing Digital Health for Maternal and Newborn Survival: PReSTrack and the Power of Real-Time Data.”

One of the panelist, Dr. Isata Mahoi, Minister of Gender and Children’s Affairs during the duscussion spotlighting PReSTrack as a transformative tool that bridges policy and protection.

“What excites me most is how PReSTrack makes the invisible visible,” she shared. “It ensures that every pregnancy, especially among girls, is met with care, dignity, and coordinated support.”

Dr. Mahoi emphasized that PReSTrack builds on the GEWE Act and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2024, reinforcing Sierra Leone’s promise that no child should be a bride, and no mother should die giving life.

She highlighted the system’s ability to detect risks early, strengthen referral pathways, and connect vulnerable girls to psychosocial and legal support, especially in hard-to-reach communities.

“This is how we move from commitment to impact,” she affirmed. “PReSTrack helps us uphold our promise with real-time data and real-world action.” she added.

Dr. Isata Mahoi’s message was clear: digital innovation must serve the most vulnerable, and every girl must be counted, protected, and empowered to thrive.
