Sierra Leone's Foreign Minister holds High Level Diplomatic Engagements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Sierra Leone, Alhaji Musa Timothy Kabba, as special envoy of President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, held a successful bilateral meeting with Dr. Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khereiji, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, Minister Kabba conveyed warm greetings from President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, the Government, and People of Sierra Leone to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, and the People of Saudi Arabia. He also delivered a letter to the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud on behalf of President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government.

The two Ministers recommitted deepening bilateral ties between Sierra Leone and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, focusing on regional peace and stability – urging cooperation in the fight against terrorism in West Africa.

Minister Kabba also held talks with Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Minister for Hajj and Umrah Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - conveying His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio’s gratitude to the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for approving 100 Royal Hajj scholarships to Sierra Leone last year. Dr. Tawfiq commended Minister Kabba for his effort in deepening the bilateral ties between the two countries. Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabia took kind note of Sierra Leone’s request for consideration to increase the quota in the 2026/1447 Hajj.
