Sierra Leone Wins Bid to Host Pan Africa Hash 2027 in Freetown.

Sierra Leone has successfully won the bid to host the Pan Africa Hash (PAH) 2027, following a highly competitive process in Ghana that brought together representatives from 34 African countries. This landmark achievement officially designates Freetown as the host city, ushering in a new era for the Sierra Hash House Harriers (Sierra H4) and elevating Sierra Leone’s profile as a premier hub for continental gatherings.

The victory was made possible through the unwavering support of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, under the leadership of Hon. Nabeela Farida Tunis.

The Ministry played a pivotal role by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sierra H4, providing transportation support with a bus for the Hashers’ journey to Liberia en route to Ghana, and strengthening the bid with an endorsement letter signed by Permanent Secretary Judith C. Jones. A powerful video message from Minister Tunis further amplified Sierra Leone’s case and resonated strongly with the Pan Africa Hash community.

With this milestone, Sierra Leone has pledged to deliver a world-class hashing experience. From scenic beach runs and lush rainforest trails to vibrant city circles and unforgettable after-parties, Freetown will proudly showcase the nation’s hospitality, culture, and adventure.

This accomplishment not only reflects the vision and dedication of Sierra H4 but also reinforces Sierra Leone’s reputation as a growing tourism powerhouse and a trusted destination for international events. As preparations begin, the message is clear: Sierra Leone is ready, Sierra H4 is prepared, and Pan Africa Hash 2027 will make history in Freetown.
