Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, on Tuesday, 18th November 2025, warmly received the Inspector General of Police of Liberia, Hon. Gregory O. W. Coleman, at his office in Freetown—underscoring the deep human ties and longstanding friendship between the two nations.

The visit formed part of the Liberian Police Chief’s four-day working mission to Sierra Leone, aimed at strengthening cooperation and enhancing security coordination between the two sister institutions.

Welcoming the delegation, the Vice President, who also serves as Chairman of the Police Council, expressed sincere delight at hosting the team. He noted that Sierra Leone and Liberia shared more than geographical boundaries; they shared people, history, culture, and enduring bonds built over generations.

“Welcome, welcome to all of you, to Sierra Leone,” he said.

Reflecting on the historical ties, VP Juldeh Jalloh recalled shared experiences in both Monrovia and Freetown, emphasizing that the warmth and familiarity between the two countries formed a solid foundation for continued partnership—particularly in the area of security cooperation.

He stressed that the relationship between the two nations was deeply human, shaped by shared struggles, resilience, and collective progress. He further noted that collaboration between the “two sister countries” presented immense opportunities for strengthening cross-border crime prevention, enhancing policing standards, and improving safety for citizens across both sides of the Mano River Union.

“We value this relationship, and we believe we have a lot in common. If we work together, we can achieve a lot for our people,” he said.

In response, the Liberian Inspector General, Hon. Gregory O. W. Coleman, expressed profound appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed Liberia’s commitment to deeper and more strategic collaboration.

The meeting concluded on a positive and fraternal note, with the Vice President extending warm greetings from His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio to the President of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, while calling for continued unity, trust, and shared purpose between the two nations.
