Tangier, the historical tourist destination in the extreme North of the Kingdom of Morocco have vast cultural heritage across the city from inland to the coastal area of the city. Tangier is 14 kilometres across the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea in Spain.

Tourist visiting the Spartak Hill in Tangier commonly refers to Cape Spartel (Cap Spartel), a prominent hill which is about 12-14 km west of the city where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea.

Visitors usually meets at the Port of Tangier leading to the hill where they’ll embark a bus to the famous hill with a sea view. Along the 14 km road leading to the hill, there are so many natural scenery and cultural heritages.

According to historians, the Cape Spartel’s cultural heritage revolves around its iconic 19th Century lighthouse which is Morocco oldest lighthouse built in 1864. Its symbolises a maritime view where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea.

The lighthouse is serving as an international cultural heritage site and the Moroccan authorities are preserving it and it has been guiding ships through the Strait of Gibraltar

The geographical view of the two seas dividing the two continent is unique and colourful from the top of cape spartel. Visitors observe the natural view where two mighty seas join together fashioning a memorable view. It ranges from the rugged cliffs, the expansion towards the Hercules Cave. It’s approximately 1,000 feet above sea level and stands over 315 metres above sea level.

Offering stunning views, a historic lighthouse, and proximity to the Hercules Caves, a popular spot for tourists. It's a key landmark for its beautiful scenery, meeting of waters, and connections.

The unique spot where the Atlantic and Mediterranean currents converge, has a panoramic vistas of the ocean and coastline and a short distance away, known for its Africa-shaped opening. Great for walks, enjoying sunsets, and exploring coastal trails.

Easily accessible by car, taxi, or tour bus from Tangier, typically taking around 30 minutes. It's a must-visit for its natural beauty and historical significance, often combined with visits to the Kasbah, Medina, and nearby forests like Perdicaris Park.
